British Tatler Names Istrian Meneghetti One of the World’s 101 Best Hotels

The luxury hotel Meneghetti in Bale, Istria, has been included on the list of the world’s 101 best hotels in the Tatler Travel Guide selection for 2026.

This is a highly influential guide published by the renowned British magazine Tatler, now owned by the Condé Nast publishing group.

Published exclusively in print, the Tatler Travel Guide is one of the most selective luxury guides. The list is based on testing according to strict criteria and editorial selection that takes into account authenticity, character, level of service, and a clearly defined luxury identity.

“In the 2026 edition, Tatler recognized Meneghetti as one of the world’s leading luxury addresses, highlighting its deep connection with the Istrian terroir, vineyards, and gastronomy,” the Meneghetti statement notes. “At Meneghetti, luxury has always stemmed from the authenticity of Istrian tradition, land, craftsmanship, and the people who shape them with respect. For this reason, Meneghetti truly lives Istria in the fullest sense of the word, carefully and patiently preserving its heritage, and we are extremely proud that through our work we continue to promote Istria as a top luxury tourism destination,” the hotel management announced, as reported by the portal Kult Plave Kamenice.

Last year, Meneghetti received the Condé Nast UK Readers’ Choice Award as the only hotel from Croatia—an award that, unlike the Tatler guide, is based specifically on the ratings of visitors and readers. In the same year, Meneghetti also received a Michelin Key.

Its inclusion in the Tatler Travel Guide 2026, together with the Condé Nast UK Readers’ Choice Award 2025 and the Michelin Key, positions Meneghetti very well on the important British market.
