The assembly of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) appointed Boštjan Gorjup for a second two-year term as the chamber’s president on Tuesday. The director of BSH Hišni Aparati, the Slovenian subsidiary of the Bosch and Siemens Home Appliance Group, was reappointed in a 69:7 vote.
Gorjup studied at the Faculty of Economics and Business / Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Maribor and got an employment as Bachelor of Science of Industrial Engineering at the Bosch Corporation.
In 2006, he became Director of BSH Hišni aparati d.o.o. Nazarje. In the period from 2009 to 2012, he also established and managed the network of companies in Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria. Between 2014 and 2016 he was Director of Financing and Controlling for Region Europa in BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, Munich, Germany. In May 2016, after coming back to Slovenia, he again held the position of Managing Director of BSH Hišni aparati d.o.o. Nazarje and the Region Adriatic East.
He received the Award of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia for exceptional entrepreneurial and economic achievements for 2011. By the Managers’ Association he was awarded the title Young Manager 2012 and Manager of the Year 2018.
