The parties of the future government coalition focus on what unites them and brought them together, the president of the SDS party, Janez Janša said ahead of the vote to appoint him prime minister when presenting guidelines for forming a new government in the National Assembly.
He recalled the fact that the new government only has two years, and any half-term coalition in his view can only be a compromise on the solutions all coalition partners agree on. He announced that the opposition and national minorities’ MPs will also be invited to cooperate in forming solutions.
As the basic starting point of the new government’s program guidelines, Janša emphasized that Slovenia is able to do more than what it currently demonstrates. Among the program objectives, he highlighted debureaucratization, decentralization and establishment of a demographic fund.
