The National Theatre Belgrade’s production of Leo Tolstoy’s drama The Power of Darkness, won the audience’s award at the festival hosted by the Ljubljana SNG Drama to pick the first ever Jernej Šugman Award. The accolade, named after late Slovenian actor Jernej Šugman (1968-2017), was presented for the first time at the conclusion of the 6th Drama Festival on Friday night. The winning production, one of the seven in the running, was directed by Igor Vuk Torbica.
