Slovenia will host in mid-September a meeting of the NATO Military Committee, the alliance’s highest military body bringing together all chiefs of defense from the Alliance, the Slovenian Military confirmed.
Scheduled for 13 and 14 September in Ljubljana, the meeting will bring to Slovenia around 400 attendees, among them some 150 top military personnel from NATO countries. The meeting will go over joint missions and operations of the Alliance and warfare in the modern security situation, among other things, the military said. The Military Committee meets once a week at the level of permanent military representatives at NATO headquarters in Brussels, while the chiefs of defense meet three times a year.
