The Ministry of economic development and technology has cooperated very closely with representatives of Amazon in order to find a solution for Slovenian sellers. As we have already informed Slovenian public we were well aware of importance of this trading channel for Slovenian companies and hence we tried to find solution as soon as possible.

After the last meeting with the representatives of Amazon at the end of last year in Brussels, the representatives of the Ministry of economic development and technology managed to clarify concerns any concerns related to on-boarding Slovenia sellers. After that we had some more alignments that resulted in to the solution that Amazon informed us about at the beginning of March.

Amazon has started with the investment activities for technical adjustment of the online platform that will enable Amazon to put Slovenia on the list of supported countries for selling on Amazon Europe marketplaces. Amazon representatives informed us that they are aiming at finishing all needed activities by the Q3 this year and that means that by then Slovenian sellers will be able to start selling on Amazon Europe marketplaces.
