The ceremony of decoration of major general Alenka Ermenc, Chief of General staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, was hosted by the Brazilian Embassy on the 24th of October. The Air-force Order of Merit in the rank of Grand Officer was awarded to general Ermenc, who along with H.E. Brazilian Ambassador Mr. Renato Mosca, proceeded to deliver a speech thanking the Brazilian Government, and looking forward to stricter cooperation on the defense area. The event counted with ambassadors and high rank representatives of the Slovenian government.
The Order of Aeronautical Merit is an award of the Brazilian Air Force, established on 1 November 1943 by President Getúlio Vargas. The order is presented in five grades and recognizes distinguished service and exceptional contributions to the Brazilian Air Force.
