The D&C Magazine is joining the initiative launched by the British and French Embassies, and we invite other Embassies in Slovenia to join the European Mobility Week 2019 (16-22 September) by motivating their employees to walk or use bicycles instead of cars for transport in Ljubljana.
French Ambassador H.E. Florence Ferrari, together with her team, marked the beginning of the European Mobility Week 2019 by presenting Embassy’s new official vehicle – a bicycle – that will be available to all employees for their daily obligations in the city, as a cleaner and more sustainable means of urban transport. This symbolic act aims to draw attention to the fact that, with small efforts, every single one of us can significantly contribute to environment protection on a daily basis.
British Ambassador Sophie Honey presented her “official” vehicle of choice for the Mobility Week on Twitter.
Serbian Ambassador Zorana Vlatković also opted for a bicycle as her means of clean mobility.
Since 2002, European Mobility Week has sought to improve public health and quality of life by promoting clean mobility and sustainable urban transport. The campaign gives people the chance to explore the role of city streets and to experiment with practical solutions to tackle urban challenges, such as air pollution.
