The opposition Marjan Šarec List (LMŠ) plans to initiate a vote of no-confidence in economy minister Zdravko Počivalšek over his role in the purchases of protective personal equipment.
Počivalšek responded on Twitter and said, among other things, that he finds a vote of no-confidence an opportunity to address the epidemic in a comprehensive way and to present all the evidence, including as regards the responsiveness or unresponsiveness of the previous Prime Minister Marjan Šarec.
Počivalšek finds interesting that Šarec, who was inviting him to join the pre-election coalition two months ago, is now calling for a vote of no-confidence against him.
The allegations that the LMŠ party will base the motion on are not yet known, but according to what Šarec had written, they find Počivalšek responsible for errors in supply of the protective and other equipment needed in the epidemic of the new coronavirus.
For now, the Left had announced their support to the LMŠ’s motion.
