Slovenian 25 years old cycling star Tadej Pogačar who is the member of UAE Team Emirates has won the biggest cycling race Tour de France today.
This is the 3rd victory after 2020 and 2021 for the hero of his home city Klanec pri Komenda.
Tadej is the first man since Marco Pantani in 1998 to win the Tour de France and the Giro d‘Italia in the same year.
Tadej was born on September 21, 1998 in Klanec pri Komenda. He soon showed an interest in sports – first he trains football at NK Komenda, but when his brother Tilen joins the cycling club Rog Ljubljana under the guidance of Miha Koncilje, Tadej is also drawn to the bike. In 2007, he himself became a member of the club. He quickly joins the group and excels on the slopes. He took his first race on Trstenik near Kranj in 2008, at the tender age of ten, and in 2009 achieved his first cycling victory on the climb to Krvavec .
