The talks about the possible formation of a new coalition will continue next week, the SDS party stated on Friday after the talks with the parties of SMC, DeSUS and NSi. This is the only statement SDS planned to make.
SMC President Zdravko Počivalšek said to STA and Delo Daily after the talks with Janez Janša (SDS) that the talks were constructive and will most likely continue. He did not reveal more about it.
DeSUS President Aleksandra Pivec told the media that they are ready to continue the talks if larger parties are going to do so too. She explained that they did not talk about the content, nor about the cadres in a possible government.
The party of NSi made no statements after the meeting.
SDS invited all parties to join the talks regarding a new coalition after the fall of the government of Marjan Šarec, and the mentioned three parties responded. They have 48 MPs together in the parliament – SDS included.
