“There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes” – that was the motto of all the guests of the German Embassy which celebrated German Unity Day on Wednesday, October 2nd on an extremely rainy evening in Ljubljana.
German Unity Day is a special event – on this day, Germany celebrates freedom and peace in Germany and Europe and honors those who stood up for democracy and freedom more than 30 years ago.
During the reception, H.E. Ambassador of Germany to Slovenia, Sylvia Groneick gave an inspiring speech in front of many guests and friends who celebrated the German Unity Day at the ambassador’s residence. The ambassador especially thanked the Choir Kvorum of the National Assembly of Slovenia, and the Slovenian Police Orchestra, who sang and played national anthems of Slovenia, Germany, and the European Union at the German reception.
