SD party for relaxing measures in certain activities in culture

MPs Samo Bevk and Matjaž Nemec of the SD party have sent an initiative to the Government to relax anti-corona measures in some activities in culture. Among other things, they propose for the Government to include bookstores and paper mills, and open galleries, museums and open-air museums as the exemptions from the measures.

They also propose for the Government to urge the mayors to ensure the opening of the libraries – only for borrowing the books for the time being, and to open botanical gardens to the public.

According to the initiative, they in the SD (Social Democrats) party are satisfied as the worst of the epidemic has passed, and are pleased that the Government has started relaxing the measures needed to curb the epidemic. However, as the Government strives to mitigate measures regarding the movement of the population, slowly opening the stores and enabling other services, there is still no relaxation of the measures in culture in sight.

The SD believes that, in addition to the above listed, it would be possible to relax other activities that allow citizens to spend quality time in isolation – of course by strictly following the safety measures.
